The Pomperaug Health District is partnering with OASIS Oxford Local Prevention Control and Oxford High School to present an opioid awareness forum at Oxford High School. This presentation features the U.S. States Attorney Office for CT and the Drug Enforcement Agency to provide the latest information on this crisis. The HEAT Team, a panel of local families who have lost loved ones to to this epidemic will share their insights. A short screening of the DEA’s “Chasing the Dragon” will also be shown. It promises to be an evening of candid and impactful discussions about a very difficult topic.

 

The event will be held at Oxford High School on April 24 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM. All are welcome. The admission is free and light refreshments will be served. 

 

We hope that you can assist us is getting the word out to concerned families and folks in the region. This is not just a program for Oxford families. It is for everyone. It promises to be a very interesting and worthwhile.
