Dear Voter:

Thank you for requesting information about Voter Registration and Absentee Ballots in the State of Connecticut.  Pursuant to recent changes in federal law, Connecticut must:

1) Establish procedures that allow UOCAVA (Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act) voters to request voter registration applications and absentee ballot applications by mail or electronically; and

2) Transmit the voter registration application or absentee ballot application based on the preference selected by the voter (by mail or electronically).  If the voter does not indicate a preference, the application will be delivered by mail.

Pursuant to your request we are providing you with access to the website of the Connecticut Secretary of the State where you will find an electronic version of Connecticut’s Application for Voter Registration and Absentee Ballot Application.  Alternatively, you may wish to access the Federal Voting Assistance Program's website where you can fill out a Federal Post Card Application which can serve as both an Application for Voter Registration and Absentee Ballot Application.
